Membership in the World Science Fiction Convention is open to anyone with an interest in science fiction and, as with science fiction itself, membership is available in a number of different forms.
In addition to selling full attending memberships from its website, L.A.con IV has begun to sell "one-day" memberships, entitling people to attend one day of the convention, rather than the five days included with full memberships.
Rates for one-day memberships are:
Wednesday, 23 August $60 Thursday, 24 August $75 Friday, 25 August $75 Saturday, 26 August $75 Sunday, 27 August $50
One-Day memberships include entrance to convention activities held during the day selected as well as that evening. While the official schedule for the convention is not yet set, activities on Wednesday should begin at approximately 2:00 pm. On all other days of the convention, activities will start at app. 10:00 am, with some running late into each evening. Activities on Sunday will end at approximately 3:00 pm.
One-day memberships purchased in advance must stipulate which day the person will attend. (Please note: "Taster" memberships may only be purchased on-site the day of attendance.)
