About Our Hotels

Reservations open 01-Jan-2006

The Hilton Anaheim is L.A.con IV's headquarters and hospitality hotel. It is located approximately 50 feet from the door to the convention center. The fifth floor offers an ideal party space with Lanai rooms and suites opening on to three large outdoor atrium pool and sun decks.

The Hilton features five eateries, one full sized pool, one lap pool and four Jacuzzis. Various other amenities include (some at additional charges): high speed and wireless Internet access, laundry service, cribs, photocopying, safety deposit boxes and a business center.

*The room block is more than half sold out; the rate went up after the first 600 rooms were reserved.

The hotel will not take reservations for suites. All suites must be booked through the convention.

Suite prices begin at $345.00.

Please remember that because many Lanai rooms open onto the Lanai decks you may not need a suite to accommodate your party.

You MUST specify quiet or party floor at the time you make your reservation.

Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is noon.

Current parking rate as of 01-Jan-2006 is $11.00 for self park and $17.00 for valet.

The Hilton Cancellation Policy requires that if you do not cancel your reservation prior to three (3) days before your scheduled arrival you will be charged for your first night's stay.

Hotel Info Blurb

If you attended LA.con II or L.A.con III, you should be familiar with the Hilton Anaheim. Outdoor pool on 5th floor deck, with four jacuzzis nearby. Fitness center on Lower Lobby level, has indoor pool, a jacuzzi, and a sauna in each locker room, and also spa services (massage, manicure, etc.). (Additional fee applies for Fitness Center.)

Shops/Services

Complete Business Center, commercial airport limousine service, Enterprise Rent-A-Car desk, concierge/activities desk, guest laundry, valet service, safe-deposit boxes, gift shop, shoe shine, florist, 1-hour photo, sportswear shop, self- and valet parking.


Suites

The Hilton Anaheim has several different types of suites. Because there are a limited number of each type of suite, reservations requests must be made through the convention rather than directly with the hotel. The Worldcon Suite Czar, Ben Yalow, is monitoring the suite inventory and any reservations or questions/requests for information should be made through him. Suite prices start at $345 and bedrooms are generally not included.


Additional tidbits and trivia

"Can we move the beds?"
We just found out from the hotel that beds can be moved on a limited basis but they charge $500 per room. Please make your requests directly to the hotel at check in.
"What are the convention rates?
Rates at the Hilton start at $109 plus tax; Lanai rooms are more expensive. see above for chart. Suites, in varying sizes and prices, are also available.
"How do I reserve my room?"
For regular rooms, including party rooms on the Lanai floor, contact the hotel directly. See above for phone number, booking code, and a direct link to their website.
Suites are handled by the convention.
"What about tax? How much are the rooms, really?"
Tax on hotel rooms in Anaheim is 15%, plus two additional surcharges that add up to $1.78 per night.
"How tall is the hotel?"
The top floor is the 14th. Guest floors are numbered 5-9 and 11-14. (There's a thirteenth floor but no tenth floor.)
"Is there a self-service coin laundry?"
No. They do have same-day dry cleaning service, though. (See also Marriott )
"What credit cards do the hotel accept?"
"All of them." American Express, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Discover, En Route, JCB, Mastercard, Visa.
