Planetary Science Institute exhibit. [offsite link]
"The Planetary Science Institute is a nonprofit science research institute focusing on the exploration of the solar system. Our scientists are distributed in 12 states, the United Kingdom, Italy, Russia and Japan. We are headquartered in Tucson, Arizona, where PSI was founded in 1972. We are involved in numerous NASA missions, the study of Mars, asteroids, comets, interplanetary dust, the origin of the solar system, planet formation about other stars, dynamics, impact physics, and the rise of life. PSI scientists conduct field work in North America, Australia and Africa. They are also actively involved in science education and public outreach through school programs, childrens books, popular science books and art."

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Star Trek, the crew of the original Starship Enterprise have come back! You'll even have an opportunity to have your photograph taken with them! The wax figures of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu, & Chekov that stood for 32 years in the Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park, California will be on display in Cadet Central throughout the convention. For a limited engagement Saturday the 26th only.
Meet the RoboDox! This enthusiastic high school team of robot builders was the winner of a F.I.R.S.T. (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) competition in April this year. The F.I.R.S.T. competitions are billed as the 'Superbowl of Smarts'. The team built it's robot from a kit of hundreds of parts. This year's game, called 'Aim High,' tested the student's and robot's ability to fire foam balls through hoops, plow them into floor goals, and program a vision system allowing the robot to navigate. The students will be on hand with their robot on Saturday and will demonstrate their winning design.

EATON - The World's Largest Collection of SF. The Eaton Collection is part of the Special Collections Library at the University of California Riverside. It contains more than 500,000 items related to SF, fantasy, horror & utopian literature. We have the archives of a number of prominent writers and illustrators as well as films, video and scripts of TV and movies. Please come by booth E-52.
